The Galaxy season may have started off slow, but recently they have been showing good form and their offense has been working in 5th gear, which helped them advance to the quarterfinals of the USA/Mexico tournament. They still have a chance to play for honor in the league. Inter is also in good form, but their last game was a 4-1 loss against Orlando, which raised many question marks about their defense. However, their offense is not a problem. Looking at the lineup, Messi missed the game against Orlando but will likely be on the field today. I think Galaxy will field their strongest lineup - one that is built to play offensively. I believe we can expect a 4-1 or 4-2 win for the home team.
The second game of The Bahamas team against Nicaragua, which they won by a margin of 39 points. The Bahamas team, looking very strong, has some very good basketball players and easily defeated Nicaragua, whom they will likely defeat again in the second game.
Nigeria, like Cameroon, won both of their group stage matches and now these teams will play for first place. Nigeria has a decent NBA player - Okogie - who scored 33 points after a slow start in their first two games. Similarly, Cameroon also has an NBA player and both African teams play for fairly strong clubs in Europe. At the tournament in Angola, although the teams seem fairly evenly matched, the Nigerian team appears to be better.
The champions, Sadd Peru, did not change much during the offseason, they maintained their core, added a few players and should once again have one of the best offenses in the league and be one of the top contenders for the title. Their defense has never been outstanding, but they don't focus on it either. Qatar SC barely managed to stay in the league, so Peru took the opportunity to bring in a decent coach who places a lot of emphasis on the attack, added some attacking players and could be a very interesting team. However, their defense will most likely continue to be a problem like last season, which almost cost them their place in the league, as they failed to sign any strong defenders. It will be difficult for them to contain the attacking champions today, but they might surprise with a few goals.
Last season, the Eagles team surprised and won the cup, and in the first game they escaped defeat by scoring a last-second goal while playing in a minority. However, their success will not be long-lasting, and now, without their defender due to red cards, I believe they will surrender to Ajax. Ajax remains a very young and hungry team that is not known for its stability, but always looks good. Ajax is the clear favorite for this game and will live up to their status.
As the farmers' league begins, so does the ordinary domination of PSG. PSG looks very strong and dominates against top league teams, and against teams like Nantes they will have no trouble. The start of the season will leave the team in a good mindset and far from complacent, with a very favourable opponent. Last season, PSG failed to beat Nantes twice, but I believe that this season everything will be different, especially considering that they looked weak in their friendly against Nantes.
After losing the title last season, Duhail made important changes over the summer, including a new coach and signing with a more attacking profile strategist, who should reveal the team's composition better. They also acquired Polish player Piatek, Italian player Verrati, and some new players. After recovering from injuries, Brazilian player Edmilson became naturalized. Duhail proved its strength this week in a crucial Asian Champions League qualifier against Iran's Sepahan, defeating them 3-2. It's always tough to beat defensive Iranian clubs, but Duhail's attacking game looked solid. Today's opponent is of a lower level, so it's likely that Duhail will once again be able to showcase their full potential in attack. Their defense is not so strong, so Shahaniya will also have their chances. They too have a new coach from Spain, who has worked with the Spanish youth teams for several years, won Olympic medals, and also favors an attacking style of football. So it's unlikely that the guests will sit back and defend the whole time, they also have good attacking options. I hope for an attacking game and at least some goals.
I see Rybakina taking at least one set, Swiatek playing back, they are matched with Kalynskaja. But Rybakina, on the contrary, shows high class, putting Sabalenka in a tough position, a serious argument why she should at least take one set.
Without Messi, Inter Miami is just a little over half a team. After receiving an injury, Miami struggled to play in a match against the Orlando club in the MLS league and lost 1-4, allowing their opponents to dominate. Despite not being a strong team and having results like American hills, the Galaxy had good performances against Mexican clubs. Without Messi's creativity and attack, Miami's team weakens significantly, while the Galaxy's strength is in their offense, not defense, and they thrive.
