After catching very good form recently, it's clear that Popyrin's inconsistency could trip him up today, but I think he's worth a chance. Popyrin's opponents haven't been the strongest and he has defeated them all without losing a single set. Meanwhile, Tommy has played 14 sets in 3 matches in France. In his last two matches, he celebrated 3-2 against Peru, defeating Fucsovics and Khachanov. I think fatigue should already be catching up with Paul. In the match against Khachanov, he was barely alive in the fifth set and struggled to move his feet. There were moments when it seemed like he could even give up at 4-0, but he managed to win with his serves. Knowing this, I think the odds are worth the risk.
