Are the dice random there? If they are even a bit better than yahoo backgammon dice then im in. If you wanna learn how to play this game do not start in yahoo backgammon. Thier dice rewards mistakes and punishes skillfull plays.

(Cole's latest achievement came at the American Backgammon Tour's U.S. Open, which took place in Washington D.C. from June 4-7. The Flint native beat out a field of 24 other players - and bested the 1989 Backgammon World Champion in the final round - to become the first woman to win the U.S. Open tournament).

Cole describes backgammon as a game having the strategy of chess and the gambling elements of poker.

Backgammon is a popular board game that focuses on two people trying to move all of their 15 checkers from one side to the other. The moves depend upon what two dice roll. The players try to move their checkers across the board before the other player.

To win, first the players need to get the checkers onto the home board, and then the checkers are removed according to the number rolled on the dice. When the checkers are removed from the board, this is called the bear off. Once all of the checkers are beared off, the player wins.
