Kobe Bryant got his fourth title, coach Phil Jackson has his 10th, and just like that the Los Angeles Lakers earned their 15th national championship victory. Bryant scored 30 points and Pau Gasol added 14 and 15 rebounds on the night.

Coach Jackson now holds the record as the winningest coach in NBA finals history, a record that until tonight was held by Boston coach Red Auerbach as the winningest coach in finals history.

Lol... it's not a surprise to see a proffessional sports referee was involved in some sort of gambling scam.. it's probably not the first time that has happened.

Former NBA star Antoine Walker isn't afraid to walk into the belly of the beast - he was arrested Wednesday night despite a warrant out for his arrest ......... over alleged gambling debts.

Walker was popped at a Harrah's Casino in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada and later released on $135,000 bond. He allegedly owes $822,000 in gambling debts and faces three felony counts of writing bad checks.

Some of the biggest stocks in the US casino industry took a hit on Tuesday after the news regarding former NBA players Charles Barkley and Antoine Walker. The two players have run up gambling debt and been sued by several casinos.

Now that the two players are no longer free to gamble in the Vegas casinos, investors pulled back. Stocks dropped by as much as forty-two percent. Las Vegas Sands stock, who has already been among the hardest hit by the economy, dropped twelve percent. They issued this statement on Thursday.

Former major league pitcher Shawn Chacon was arrested in Greeley on a charge related to unpaid gambling markers in Nevada.

Weld County sheriff's officials say they released him Tuesday, one day after his arrest, after learning Las Vegas authorities decided not to extradite him.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Friday that Chacon faces a felony charge in connection with three bad checks written for $50,000 to Caesars Palace in March.

Chacon, who attended high school in Greeley, played for the Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Last year, the Houston Astros released Chacon after a confrontation with general manager Ed Wade.

In 2009, Chacon played for Oakland's Triple-A team in Sacramento.

The numbers show that more fouls are being called by NBA replacement referees compared to the experienced ones. As shown by STATS LLC, an average of 57.5 fouls is called every game during Monday’s exhibition schedule. That’s 8.5 more than the average 49 fouls per game during the preseason overseen by the regular referees..............

Wow manne that is some stat just think how bad it is going to be when the regular season starts alot of boo's I am sure. They need to get the REAL refs in there and start playing basketball again right know it is all about the refs and there calls.
