2019 NBA Eastern Conference Finals – Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors Series Preview
The Eastern Conference Finals are here and we have the top 2 seeded teams face off against each other as Milwaukee Bucks take on the Toronto Raptors!
Playoff Run for both teams so far
Milwaukee Bucks: Just like throughout the Regular Season, the Bucks have been the most dominant team in the NBA Playoffs by far so far. 8-1 record, sweeping the Pistons then dispatching Boston in 5 the Bucks have clearly proven that they are every bit of legit as they were in the Regular Season and should be considered as Easts favourites. 7 of the 8 Bucks wins came by double digit margin and the average margin of their 8 wins have been exactly 20 points with 5 of those wins being by 20+ pts. The Bucks have been dominant on both ends throughout this post season not only being the 2nd best offensive team but also the 1st BEST defensive team during this run so far!
Toronto Raptors: It hasn’t been quite a straight forward run so far for Toronto, but led by Kawhi Leonard’s incredible play they ended up getting to their first Conference Finals in 3 years! Toronto have dispatched Orlando in 5 after blowing Game 1 and then were taken to the absolute limit by the 76ers as they beat them in 7 with a buzzer beating game winner from Kawhi Leonard who played absolutely out of his mind for Toronto to get them through that series. Raptors have had issues offensively during this run at times as other players not named Kawhi or Siakam have struggled to score consistently, but due to Kawhi’s greatness and their extremely good defense (2nd best in post season) which is going to be especially crucial in this upcoming series they have been able to advance and will now look to make their first ever Finals.
Bucks depth is just insane. They can let Giannis buy way more rest than Toronto can for Kawhi. I just don’t see how Toronto Win this series if their bench don’t produce more scoring. Bucks might even win this in 5 but we’ll see
Report: Kevin Durant 'not close' to returning from calf injury
“Everyone needs to slow down a little bit on the Kevin stuff,” Kerr said on Monday, via ESPN. “He hasn't even stepped on the floor yet. ... He still has pain. So there's some time ahead of him on the rehab process.”
Durant missed the Warriors’ 116-94 win in Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, and will miss Thursday’s Game 2 at Oracle Arena. Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that Durant would be reevaluated on Thursday, which would hopefully provide a “more detailed update
Milwaukee Bucks have covered 10 of their 11 Handicaps in these Playoffs which is 90.9%. Quite incredible really considering they're nearly always the favourites
But I do gotta say, milwaukee forcing 2 overtimes and nearly winning despite Giannis Middleton and Bledsoe shooting 11/48 combined and totalling 16 turnovers is quite insane. I’ve talked about The depth of this team many times and I’ve gotta mention it again, to keep close in that game despite star men being bad is incredibly impressive. Depth is why they’ll win this series in 5/6
