Yet another chapter in the Djokovic-Nadal rivalry and this time it's at the Australian Open Final!
RAFA NADAL
Nadal has played absolutely insane tennis in this tournament so far literally smashing everyone that has come his way. He beat Duckworth, De Minaur, Ebden, Berdych, Tiafoe and Tsitsipas and did it without dropping a single set on the way to the Final! It is safe to say that Rafa is at the absolute top of his game again and coming into this match up he'll be eager to finish the tournament on a high
NOVAK DJOKOVIC
Well what can I say about Novak? Since the Summer of last year at Wimbledon, he's returned to his absolute best making his 3rd consecutive GS FInal winning the previous 2 at Wimbledon and US Open. In this tournament he's been on fire. On the way to the final he knocked off Krueger, Tsonga, Shapovalov, Medvedev, Nishikori and Pouille dropping just 2 sets in the process. In the Semi he absolutely obliterated Pouille smashing him 6-0 6-2 6-2 and just like Rafa he's absolutely on form right now which will set up a crazy match.
H2H
This will now be the 53rd time these two meet yes FIFTY THIRD. Djokovic leads H2H 27-25 and in recent years has pretty much owned Nadal if I'm honest. Djokovic has completely dominated Rafa on hard court leading him 19-7 winning 8 straight against him on this surface and he's beaten Rafa in an AO Final before already in 2012.
The most recent match between them played was at Wimbledon and Novak edged Rafa last summer in 5 sets winning the final set 10-8 in what was a Classic match between these two legends.
Prediction
I think this will go all the way to 5 sets. Bookies got Novak as favourite (1.74-2.15 approx odds) in Novaks favour but to me this is a 50/50 game. Novak does have the H2H edge over Rafa and always seems to turn it up in GS Finals so I think in the end Djokovic will win this match in 5 sets approximately by a score of 6-4 3-6 7-6 3-6 6-4
Great to have Andy Murray back on court at Queen's playing doubles. Thought he was never gonna comeback and now look he's back and wins a match against top seeded team. Would be great if he and Lopez go on and win it all
Murray is in the Queen's Doubles Final! WOW What a way to return to action if he and Lopez wins this. Lopez himself has been on quite the roll aswell reaching both singles and doubles finals
