Two young and top teams in good form meet in a battle for second place. Both teams are supported by their offense and have more than one solid NKL level basketball player. The 3rd and 4th place teams in terms of points collected in the NKL league have an average score of 87.82 and 86.37 per game. In the first game played in Šakiai, a total of 180 points were scored, so Kaunas can expect similar or even better results.

Today's morning cannot catch up at all, and even while playing their game, they still manage to give up points very often, even up to 90 points. With Galatasaray, one should not expect any different game than the usual points race. Rytas has a strong desire to be champions in the league, but that desire mostly shows in points gathering. Galatasaray is not such a strong team in terms of offense, but Vilnius will have to adapt.

Both teams in this phase have been performing well according to productivity. There are many games and the placement is not great for defense, and playing at home, Paris often controls the game and collects high numbers in offense. Real also isn't fond of defending, and at home they play a total style similar to Paris, so I expect a high number of points and this line doesn't scare me.

CEZ Nymburk - Gran Canaria

(Under 165) @1.860 8/10
After both teams' defeats, in this format, every loss can change everything fundamentally. Today, Peru is essential, so I am waiting for maximum effort and good defense. Gran Canaria has the second best defense rating in the tournament, they were able to stop the Italians scoring only 77 points, which can also be done with the Czechs. Nymburk may play faster basketball, but they cannot boast of a high scoring rate, as they lack quality and higher level players. In order to compete with Gran Canaria, it is necessary to work hard on defense.

The home team has a very high coefficient today. It does not matter that Real is on fire now, while Paris is struggling. Both teams have a higher chance of winning at home, especially when coming in as the underdog. Real has gained momentum but mostly through home matches. They have not performed well on away matches, winning only 4 out of 11 this season.

Rytas Vilnius - Galatasaray

netycia 01/27 17:30 in 5 hours
(Under 177) @1.950 8/10
This match determines a lot, so there will be no easy running and confusion, there will be tension. The ending has a strong defensive structure in all positions, with Harding and Guda leading the way, who are essentially the backbone of the team. The veterans in the defensive line know how to protect the result, heroically playing until the last seconds. Rytas does not have any flow, they might suddenly start playing poorly, still dealing with various scandals of racism. I would expect a more ugly game rather than such a cosmic total.

(Under 165.5) @1.800 8/10
According to the pace of both teams in the Eurocup, Lietkabelis' weakness is their offense and defense. Their offensive performance looks poor and it is clearly visible from their gathered statistics. One of the lowest offensive ratings allows opponents to overpower them. Turk Telekom has a better defensive rating in the tournament, allowing them to be among the leaders. The game in Panevezyje ended with 174 points, but the Turks had a very high shooting percentage.

Fiorentina - Como

blonde 01/27 20:00 in 7 hours
(-0 Como) @1.710 8/10
Only 4 losses this season against very strong Italian teams shows that Como club is playing excellently this season. The almost undefeated club has already managed to beat Fiorentina away, so they should have a similar result in the cup. Fiorentina currently seems a bit better than usual, but they lack the stability of a team fighting for survival.

FC St Pauli - RB Leipzig

blonde 01/27 19:30 in 7 hours
(RB Leipzig) @1.850 8/10
One of the weakest teams in the league faces a solid Leipzig team. Apart from matches against top teams, Leipzig has been playing extremely well this season and has won almost all of these types of matches. Pauli club is struggling to avoid relegation and seems to be in a very poor form. This season, Pauli is not only the worst home team in the league but also the least productive one, while Leipzig, in such good form, must win with a good coefficient.

Panathinaikos @1.370 9/10
(Panathinaikos) @1.370 6/10
Ignas Pauliukevičius @1.500 10/10
Pauliukevičius UTMA crushes all of his opponents with explosive force. Score 4-0, all of Peru is confident in knockouts, with great strength and aggression.

Although Šalkovskij's score 2-1 is not bad, especially considering the loss to Dirksčius, it still doesn't come close to what Pauliukevičius demonstrates. The psychological handicap is also clearly in favor of Ignas. The incident during the joint interview, when he hit Šalkovskij in the face, seems to serve him even better - it's clear that Šalkovskij is morally affected.

No matter how much Edvinas repeats that he is completely relaxed and not making a big deal out of his opponent, it's obvious that it's the opposite. This is not a healthy sports anger, but a nervous anger caused by fear. In one interview, Šalkovskij even said that he is going into the fight to "enjoy" it, and whatever happens - happens, and life won't end if he loses. Such attitude and talking about the possibility of losing, especially before a fight against someone like Pauliukevičius, will definitely not help him win. On the contrary.

Meanwhile, Pauliukevičius looks completely tension-free, but let's hope he will control his wild aggression before the fight. I understand that the odds for this bet aren't high, but they're still not bad for this event. I see no real chances for Šalkovskij to win - it's like a train against a muscle car. Both are tough, but the outcome is clear. Even the notorious Dirkstys, while being in the same studio with Pauliukevičius, shows respect and doesn't hesitate to acknowledge his strength.

Pauliukevičius may not be the brightest UTMA fighter, but the fight won't be played like a game of chess. And he has no shortage of aggression, strength, and self-confidence. The home arena and fans won't help Šalkovskij either, in fact, it may only strengthen Pauliukevičius' sports drive. Most importantly, "wanna be Tyson" won't knock out his opponent's ear or arm in the ring 😁.

Ignas Pauliukevičius @1.500 8/10
There is a psychological handicap for Pauliukevicius here. Salkovskis, although still upset about the trauma caused by that slap, could feel the strength of Ignas during their conversation. This is not the first time Salkovskis has encountered resistance from Dirkst, but this time there was also a strong opponent in the ring - Ignas. Ignas, on the other hand, participated, fought, and each time seemed to handle the pressure better. This should bombard Pauliukevicius with the Salkovskis case, and Edvinas will need to succeed in catching that one decisive blow.
