Vidmanova is a very good returner and has been dominating on the ITF circuit on hard courts for a year now, although her performance at a higher level hasn't been great. However, her serve is not strong and she struggles against aggressive players. Meanwhile, Day doesn't like defending very much. But being in the USA, I think the younger Czech player won't have an easy time. Since it's still the early stages, Day will have lots of energy which is a big advantage, but on the other hand, if there is good resistance, her performance might drop during the match. That's why the first set is important.
