Doha. Antrasis etapas. Susitinka ukrainietis Stakhovsky ir austras Peya. Šiame mače aš labiau linkstu link austrijos tenisininko Peya pergalės. Jis šį turnyrą pradėjo nuo kvalifikacijos, kurioje žaidė tris mačus ir visuose pakako dviejų setų jo pergalei. Nugalėti Chernov, Bubka ir Kubot. Manau ukrainietis būtų turėjęs dar ir problemų su kai kuriais iš šių challenger'ininkų. Galų gale austras pirmajame etape nugalėjo rusą Tursunov trijų setų kovoje. Aišku visokių setų ten buvo, ir kur Peya žaidė nuostabiai ir kur atrodė beviltiškai, tačiau žaidė prieš ganėtinai stiprų varžovą ir pergalė buvo pasiekta. Manau, jam labai padėjo kvalifikacijos etapai. Jis labiau priprato prie dangos, pajautė šių metų žaidimą, kaip reikia žaisti ir t.t. Na, o ukrainietis pirmame etape susitiko su C.Rochus ir sugebėjo vos išnešti sveiką kailį trečiajame sete po tie-break prieš tikrai ne hardo žaidėją. Leido save breikinti net tris kartus Rochusui, tad nemanau, jog Stakhovsky dabar yra bent optimalioje formoje ir jei jis žais panašiai kaip žaidė prieš belgą, tuomet pralaimės dviejų setų kovoje. Sėkmės.

    Medvedev - Rinderknech

    The cosmic coefficient for over seems to end more realistically. The Frenchman's fairy tale should end here just like his stepbrother's. Rinderknech has a nice serve, but Medvedev has an even better return. In the game against Peru - everyone will be grazing on Medvedev's side. Overall, the player is not stable enough in longer points and Rinderknech will only have to try and hit lines where there will be a lot of out of bounds and nets. I am personally expecting an easy win for Peru, unless Medvedev starts pulling muscles again.

    Although Medvedev does not quite have control over his emotions, he shines in this tournament. Giving up just one set to Thiem, defeating Fokina and De Minaur shows the Russian's confidence in this tournament. The Frenchman is playing above his abilities, but players of this level, especially servers, do not have such long and exceptional winning streaks, and it will be difficult for him to break through Medvedev's strong defense. We will see how much space Medvedev will give the Frenchman to feel good, but in this match, I believe Medvedev will win and do so in two sets.
