The semi-final and total of this tournament was not deserved by these teams, especially the Italian youth. France started the tournament sleeping, with a defeat to Ivory Coast 2-0 and after extra time, Mexico 3-2, then there was a turn and the next two games were a success, with a 1-0 win over South Korea and a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia.
Now for the standard total, the Italians gave the impression that they were capable in defense, but that is not the case, in reality their defense was just weak! In the first game they managed to beat Japan 4-3, then they suffered a crushing defeat from Ukraine 4-0, after extra time they won against Panama 3-2 and the group was closed with a 1-0 win over Peru, against Indonesia. Conceding 3 goals against Japan, 4 against Ukraine and 2 against one of the worst teams of the tournament, Panama, does not bode well against the awakened favorites France's attack.
The Italians cannot rely on their defense for this game, the French will devour them, but if the Italians come out with the intention to attack and score, they have a good chance of surprising and winning this semi-final.
Given that this is a youth tournament, there were many foolish mistakes from both the defenders and the French and Italians alike, so it is possible for this group of youngsters to gather and play a decent game, with a chance of a low score. The total is superb because the unreliable defenses and the attacks of Peru should lead to a solid number of goals.
