Šveicarija, Baselis. Pirmam rate susitinka Thiemas su Goffinu. Goffinas šį sezoną atrodo beveik nesustabdomas, žaidžia superinį tenisą, klaidų nevelia beveik. Bet iš Vienos indoorso išsibraukė praeitą savaitę. Neaišku kodėl, bet matyt ne iš geriausio gyvenimo. Sezonas ilgas ir sėkmingai atžaistas. Goffinas Basely nėra dar dalyvavęs, reitingas pakankamai užsikeltas, taškų negina, galima gal kažkiek atsipalaiduot. Pats rašė, kad išsibraukė iš Vienos, nes nori poilsio gale sezono. Apylygūs oponentai, kofas už austrą gražus ir reikia surizikuoti.
