Turbūt nei pats Melzeris, nei jo fanai neatsimena, kada paskutinį kartą austras žaidė Challenger serijoje. Žinant jo dažnas problemas galvoje ir motyvacijos stygių, šis turnyras išvis jam turėtų mažokai rūpėti. Ymeras tuo tarpu koncentruojasi į Challenger serijas dar kolkas, nors iš jų greitai išaugs. Treniruotės su Djokovicium, Federeriu ir t.t. tikrai veda vaikiną teisinga linkme. Visada motyvuotas juodasis švedas turi nemažus šansus šiandien laimėti prieš tinginį austrą, kuris į Kanadą atvažiavo tik pasifotkint prie Niagaros krioklių ir paiškylauti. Tiesa, visai neseniai žaidė Challenger serijoj Melzeris Suomijoj, kur ramiu veidu 4-6 3-6 atsibeldė nuo Lamasino ir pasifotkinęs Helsinky išmynė namo.
