Mystics pralaimėjimas šitose rungtynėse garantuotų jiems ketvirtą vietą ir pirmą play offs ratą su reguliariojo sezono nugalėtojomis NY Liberty. Pergalės atveju, atsirastų tikimybė, kad žais su Čikagos Sky (tam dar reikėtų, kad NY laimėtų Indianoje).
Panašu, kad Mystics komandai NY yra daug patogesnis varžovas pirmai play-offs serijai - jos h2h šį sezoną 3:1 (net ir tas pralaimėjimas po pratęsimo) - negu antroje vietoje esantis Sky prieš kurią pralaimėti visi 4 paskutiniai mačai.
Su tokia statistika laimėjimas šiose rungtynėse būtų rizikingas ir netgi, sakyčiau, trenerių nekompetencijos pasireiškimas.
Maža to, Atlanta ir šiaip yra labai neparanki Vašingtonui - laimėjo visus 3 šî sezoną. Ji nėra prasta komanda, sezono pradžioje netgi buvo laikyta konferencijos favorite, todėl laimėti čia galėtų bet kokiu atveju.
