I think we need to take a risk with the Monaco team. Barca did as they pleased at home and it would be difficult for Spain to make a comeback even if it's just one match. Monaco is in very good form and their new additions have blended in well and caught form, so it will be difficult or even impossible for Barcelona, so I think it's worth a try, despite the small and very risky disadvantages.
Barca needs 3-pointers to compete for Peru, without a 3-point team they don't have much to offer on the penalty court. Vesely looks particularly bad, the only ones capable of attracting Peru players. Barca scored 9 3-pointers in 17 home games this season in the Euroleague, 15 of them against. Against Monaco, they only hit 11 3-pointers.
Monaco confidently took both Peru at home and proved to be a superior team to Barca. It will be harder on away matches, but Monaco should be able to take at least 1 out of 2 and close the series. Barca already has injury problems and Vesely probably won't be playing.
As I thought before the series, it should end in 3 games, and here I am today. Monaco is simply a different level team and, most importantly, healthy. It was difficult to play against Monaco, and Barcelona was completely overrun. But it's not surprising when there are so many injuries in the team, and not even one starting player is injured, one of the most expensive team players - Hernangomez - does not play at this level, that's just how it is. There's a lack of creativity, and the 3-pointers are not going in. I believe that Monaco will easily win again and close out the series.
Weak series, Nunn plays but in my opinion, the better scorer in Euroleague should have more shots. Series 1-1, it is necessary to win in Turkey now. At least one better league player, who so far seems very awkward, Nunn will have to lead his team forward. I think the added fact that Larkin is currently overshadowing him should add personal motivation to change that. In general, his shooting in the series is normal, but the good shots just don't fall, however in sports, percentages always even out and Nunn should start doing that. I'm waiting for at least 25 points from him.
Nepal Panathinaikos did not perform well in the first game nor in the second game at home, so there is no place to run now. Nunn finally needs to step up and I believe the Greek club will show a different face. Efes, with its veterans, may have surprised with their stability, but Larkin is not the same as before and the question is how much he will dominate. I think Efes should play significantly worse and Pao significantly better, and although there were doubts before, the game ended with a 3 and 4 point difference. Now I believe the score will be more certain.
If he lost the first away game, I think the second would definitely take and bring the series back to Athens. There were 10k fans gathered at the open workout, who supported and encouraged the players. With the series tied, I believe Pao will come out with a different mindset. Nunn looked very sluggish during both home games, but there is not much difference in his scoring at home or away. He should finally break out.
Cedi is one of the most stable players in this series, so the over looks really good to me. Of course, Nunnas hasn't been playing as well as he should and today he could steal some of Cedi's shots, but I think it will be a productive game and Cedi doesn't need many opportunities, he knows how to create and finish on his own. So I think he could score 13 points.
