Halep got her first win as the World #1 on Monday with a straight-set win over Caroline Garcia (6-4 6-2). The win was really important for Halep to restore some of her confidence as she was beaten by the same player (Garcia) in the WTA Beijing
Halep is immensely hardworking, talented and has all the attributes to dominate the women's tour amongst the current crop of players, but for some reason she seems to crumble under pressure. Her recent matches against Garcia in Beijing Final and Ostapenko in Roland Garros Final are few prime examples where Halep fell short after dominating a tennis match. Final two weeks back (4-6 6-7).
