Barcelona - Olympiakos

Real has yet to win on their travels this season. They lost to Virtus in the Euroleague and had no chance against Zvezda last week. They let Baskonia score 105 in the ACB and even though they were ahead by +20 at one point, they still lost. Real can't find their game and I don't think they will with Scariolo. Tavares and Campazzo seem to not understand what's going on in the team, and no one is playing well. Maccabi may not be shining, but they had a win against Olympiacos last week. However, they made some silly mistakes at the end and gave away the win. There are players on the team, but Lonnie seems to struggle the most. They should strategize and try to get the ball out of Lonnie's hands. Sorkinas should step up, and Brisett has potential. Hoard could also play better. This team has potential and can definitely challenge the current Real.

Maccabi should give a fight until the very end here. Real has not won anything this season so far in away games. They lost to Virtus, Zvezda, and Bask. Maccabi, as underdogs, is a strong team. We saw how they let go of the match against Olympiacos which they should have won, and also took down Hapoel. With a team like Real, there is a possibility for Maccabi to even bring back a win, I believe.

Maccabi, ranked 7th in efficiency in Euroleague, receives an average of 88.0 points per game, while Real - 82.0 points. Maccabi, with Walker and other terrific foreign players, plays a scoring-based basketball and consistently gathers high numbers on offense, while not putting too much effort into defense. This season, Real lacks a strong defense and gameplay inconsistencies, but their immense potential as a team allows for the expectation of an excellent offensive performance in this game.

I think the coefficient for Maccabi is very high, even though they are limited, they are on a good streak. Their excellent attacking basketball and solid performance against strong teams in the Euroleague, especially potentially at home, allows for the possibility of another defeat for Real on the road. The Madrid club has issues and their veterans seem to have lost their edge, even though their mastery is still high, Maccabi appears to be better today and such a coefficient is worth paying attention to.
