The great American player, and former World number 1, Venus Williams, is facing in this first round match the Romanian, Mihaela Buzarnescu. Buzarnescu had a decent 2018 year until her injury, last summer. Since that, she never came back on her level. She will be motivated to play, but I think that Venus Williams is way too good. She had a decent start of the year despite losing to Andreescu in Auckland. I think that her serve, her power and her game are good enough to reach the second round here.
