As far as I saw, Potapova is riding the wave in this tournament. Maybe even feeling like a local after changing citizenship to Austrian 😁 and receiving some sympathy and support from the spectators. Her game with Korpatch was very good, and then against local Tagger she played perfectly in the first set, but Potapova managed to win in the tiebreak. Potapova practically makes no unnecessary mistakes, which surprised me; she handles the rallies well and plays tactically.
Vekic played against Pliskova, and from what I observed, it was one of the most subpar matches I've seen here. Too many errors and poor movement, and Vekic collected quite a few double faults from her serves. So I can't see her as a favorite here.

Vekic played against Pliskova, as much as I watched, it was one of the blankest matches I've seen here. Too many mistakes and poor movement, Vekic collected quite a few double faults from her serve. So I don't see her as a favorite at all.
