Dimitrov G - Delbonis F.

05/21 11:30 eight -4.00
2019/05/20 13:27 Dimitrov G (Correct score: 2-0) @125 4/10

ATP Geneva.

Dimitrov failed the start of this season and because of this dropped to 48th place in the ATP rating. Now, to get into the main draw of these competitions, the Bulgarian had to play qualification. It was easy enough for him, but his rivals were not of the highest level. Marc-Andrea Husler Grigor beat with a score of 6-4, 6-3, and Thomas Fabbiano defeated 7-5, 6-3.
At the tournament in Geneva are not so strong rivals, so here Dimitrov can slightly improve their ranking position and prepare for Roland Garros.
For a whole month, Delbonis cannot show a good game. The Argentinian mainly plays in qualifications for different tournaments, but in the main draw of the competition takes off in the first round. For example, in Monte-Carlo Federico lost to Martin Klizan (6-7, 5-7), while in Barcelona he lost to Nicola Kun (6-7, 6-4, 2-6).
In the ATP rankings, Delbonis ranks 78th, although its best result in a career is considered to be 33rd.
Dimitrov urgently needs victories, because otherwise he risks flying out of the top 50. It seems that Bulgarian arrived in Geneva to win, otherwise he would not have played in qualifying. The class of the game in Grigor is higher than that of Delbonis, so we believe that victory will be given to him.

    Karen Khachanov - Casper Ruud

2-0 wins for Ruud and one of those matches was on hard court. This happened a long time ago, but Norway seems quite strong in this tournament and even though Khachanov is the most serious opponent now, he can still be confidently beaten. Karen himself had relatively weak opponents, but still dropped a set and overall the Russian doesn't seem very stable. So when Ruud catches a pretty good form, I think he has a chance to win.
