Both players have reached very good form at the end of the season. Both have similar serving speeds, but Cirstea may have a slightly stronger serve. However, Fernandez Leylah moves exceptionally well on the court and makes very few unforced errors, which could be her main strengths. One aspect that will undoubtedly have an impact is the fact that Cirstea from Romania is already 35 years old, meaning she is 12 years older than her opponent. This could result in a larger point difference, which could have an impact on the final outcome, especially if the match goes to three sets.
The only negative aspect in their head-to-head match a couple of weeks ago was Fernandez Leylah's 2-1 win. However, there is also a positive aspect here, as Cirstea was leading 3-1 in the third set and had her serve, but she lost the set 4-6. This means she did not manage to keep up the intensity in the match.
