Aussie Cup qualifiers. For the Rangers, as they announce, this is the biggest clash in their club's 79-year history. It's not surprising, as teams are divided into divisions and the gap is quite large, but the Rangers managed to break through to this final qualifying stage mainly thanks to fortunate draws, where they played against teams of similar strength. Now all the easy games are over. Power is also crucial in these matches, as it is now the 1/16 finals of the main national cup, where A-League clubs will join in. If there was ever any relaxation in the previous rounds, there should be none now, even though the club seemed serious in the last couple of stages. If there are no blunders, they should easily advance and may even take the victory themselves, especially considering that they have been in good form in their league lately. Another thing is that the Rangers don't have much competition at their level, they are always the favorites everywhere, they win and score a lot, so it should be quite a challenge for them to try and change their dominant style and try to play more defensively against a strong opponent. This is often a big obstacle and it is not always possible to do it successfully, especially when there is no experience against opponents of this caliber and in such important matches. However, a cup is still a cup, where even small clubs can cause an upset or at least score a goal and leave a mark, which is a feasible task for the home team.
