In the first game they managed to beat Japan 4-3, then they suffered a crushing defeat from Ukraine 4-0, after extra time they won against Panama 3-2 and the group was closed with a 1-0 win over Peru, against Indonesia. Conceding 3 goals against Japan, 4 against Ukraine and 2 against one of the worst teams of the tournament, Panama, does not bode well against the awakened favorites France's attack.
The Italians cannot rely on their defense for this game, the French will devour them, but if the Italians come out with the intention to attack and score, they have a good chance of surprising and winning this semi-final.
Given that this is a youth tournament, there were many foolish mistakes from both the defenders and the French and Italians alike, so it is possible for this group of youngsters to gather and play a decent game, with a chance of a low score.
