Για την 29η αγωνιστική του Γερμανικού πρωταθλήματος η Ντόρτμουντ θα φιλοξενήσει την Μάιντς.

Πανωλεθρία την προηγούμενη αγωνιστική για την Μπορούσια καθώς το ντέρμπι τίτλου με την Μπάγερν μόνο ντέρμπι δεν ήταν. Συντριβή με 5-0 , με τους γηπεδούχους να κάνουν εντυπωσιακό πρώτο μέρος , διάστημα στο οποίο σκόραραν 4 φορές και προσπέρασαν πλέον στην βαθμολογία τους «κίτρινους».Πλέον μετά από καιρό βλέπουν την πλάτη της πρωταθλήτριας στην βαθμολογία και πρέπει να δείξει χαρακτήρα αν θέλει να μην μείνει για άλλη μια χρονιά εκτός τίτλου. Έτσι στην σημερινή αναμέτρηση κρίνεται η νίκη επιτακτική ανάγκη για να μπορέσει να διατηρηθεί μια ανάσα από την πρωταθλήτρια και να περιμένει στραβοπάτημα της στο αυριανό εκτός έδρας ματς της με την Φορτούνα.

Νίκη με 5-0 κόντρα στην Φράιμπουργκ την περασμένη εβδομάδα για την Μάιντς, μετά από εντυπωσιακή εμφάνιση. Άνοιξε το σκορ με την συμπλήρωση του πρώτου εικοσαλέπτου και στην συνέχεια δεν είχε κανένα πρόβλημα να σκοράρει μέχρι το ημίχρονο άλλες δύο φορές και στην ουσία να καθαρίσει το παιχνίδι. Δεν έριξε ρυθμό στην επανάληψη, έστειλε άλλες δύο φορές την μπάλα στα αντίπαλα δίχτυα για να φτάσει στο τελικό 5-0. Πρώτη νίκη μετά από 4 συνεχόμενες ήττες που την έφεραν στην 12η θέση με 33 βαθμούς, στο συν 12 από την 16η θέση που οδηγεί στα παιχνίδια διαβάθμισης. Έχοντας τόση μεγάλη διαφορά από τις χαμηλές θέσεις θα μπορούσε να θεωρηθεί αδιάφορη και θέτει σαν στόχο το όσο το δυνατόν καλύτερο πλασάρισμα στον βαθμολογικό πίνακα.

Μετά την συντριβή στο Μόναχο αναμένεται η αντίδραση της Ντόρτμουντ μπροστά στο κοινό της και θα πάει στο ματς για μια άνετη νίκη για να διασκεδάσει της εντυπώσεις αλλά και φυσικά για να πάρει το πολύτιμο τρίποντο. Από την άλλη η Μάιντς πάει χωρίς άγχος στην αναμέτρηση και ότι βγει. Υπάρχουν οι προϋποθέσεις να δούμε ανοιχτό ματς με πολλά γκολ.
