It is likely that the fight for first place will continue, but Olympiacos securing a draw would not allow Real to secure a direct ticket to the knockout stage. Considering that the Spaniards are still facing a double away match against Fene, Oly may try to overtake them and knock them out. This is a crucial game and Olympiacos currently seems to have a better team, especially when playing at home. Real's away performance has been tragic this season, so I don't think sudden changes can be expected.
Important game in the fight for top 6. Pao on paper is a much stronger team. Recently Nigel Hayes joined Pao, and their leader Nunn recovered after an injury. Also, one of the best centers in EuroLeague, Lessort, has recovered.
We must start managing clubs that are already dead like Barça. Pao is not playing well, at least not yet, but he needs to find his rhythm. I still believe that so many superstars can achieve something together, they don't even need a coach. Lessort should also play against old Barça players. Peru is very much needed here today, otherwise they might still get eliminated.
Another fast and effective match between basketball teams promoting the game. The 200 point mark was surpassed by Italy within 40 minutes, so we can expect high scores from Spain as well. Even on an off day, these teams are capable of reaching such a level, so I don't expect anything different.
Maccabi needs to win, Baskonia is not giving away any easy matches, of course Baskonia plays well at home, but I believe they are a favorable opponent for Maccabi and in a match of points, I still think Maccabi has a chance, as they are in good form and have a more talented team individually.
Hello.
Euroleague. Baskonia vs Maccabi. Heading to Peru for an away game.
Baskonia has been looking very good lately. They have won 2 out of the last 3 games in Euroleague (both at home). They beat Real and Hapoel and only lost to Zvezda team in overtime. Their form is really good. In addition, they are getting back Forrest who has been missing in the previous games, which strengthens the team. However, we might also see Howard's return. Knowing how you like to take games upon yourself and yet not having played much, you could easily ruin the team chemistry and hurt with your irrational shots.
Maccabi is also in really good form and are already close to the top 10 (only 1 game behind). Their motivation will not be lacking. Finally, Walker is in great form, Clark is playing amazing, and Hoard always plays up to his potential or even above it. Sorkin is also looking good. In the first half of the season, Kattash was fired but he is showing his class and trying to lift the team at least to the playoffs, and who knows, maybe they can make it even further.
Both teams are fast-paced, so the playing style should not be a problem for Maccabi either. They also have the easiest schedule towards the end of the season and I believe they understand their chances of advancing further are not bad, and a loss here would complicate things for them. It's just that one team is playing for a lot, while the other is playing for nothing, so getting almost 2 odds in these circumstances seem like an over to me. Good luck.
You should take the initiative here, I am not waiting for a white flag to be raised, as the players have already shown that they do not lack motivation in fighting against teams approaching the goal. Lonnie is the player who can take responsibility as soon as the team gets stuck. He is a complete scorer, and the bashers have been struggling against defenders lately since Simmons dropped out. Walker should step up here, accuracy is important.
Lately, he has taken on more responsibilities, scoring 22 and 31 points in the last two games, and making 11 and 15 free throws. Kobi Simmons will be dropped from the lineup, so our offense should not decrease. Maccabi defends poorly against guards and in general, both teams are running, so Forrest should feel great in those spaces.
