Lyon, 1. round, clay

Oldest generation and old generation players in this match, but i like both of them, because they style and long experience which helps to understand what to expect. We saw them play 4 times already h2h and most of matches had pattern of over and tie-breaks which could be on clay also, as they never played on this surface.

Both players have good serve, but Bedene is superior a little on this one, still they can serve decent both which will help to win points. As they love fast courts also, to win easy points with good serves and quick play, but today they will need to play longer rallies, which is better for Bedene as he have a lot of experience and can do that, still Simon play at home and as french he knows how to play on clay.

Both physical shape at the moment is not the best so we can expect none of them will win easily and we will see TB or 3 set's at least as they will play faster tennis here.

    (Davidovich Fokina, Alejandro) @-122 10/10
The Spanish man, who looks very good, continues to amaze with how well he performs on the hard courts of America. Although, as usual, sometimes his concentration fades, but the Peruvian team is defeated. Mensik, being his first tournament, had a tough match against Boyer, but the mistakes made by the Czech man will not be given as gifts to the Spanish man anymore. I truly believe that the Spanish man will win and it's a shame that he is the favorite, but it's not just because the Czech man looks weak, but also because the Spanish man plays very well.

    (Jakub Mensik) @-105 9/10
Today's choice - the Czech Republic vs the solidly appearing Spaniard. Davidovich Fokina defeated Moutet in the first round of Toronto, but after a successful previous tournament, I believe this is where his period will end. The loss to A. De Minaur in the final required a lot of emotions. Meanwhile, Jakub Mensik took a break after Wimbledon and returned to his favorite hard court. The crucial factor is that Jakub suffered a painful defeat to Fokina in Australia earlier this year. So, two recent losses allow me to predict Mensik's first match against Peru in today's Toronto ATP Masters tournament.
