The Russian Karatsev, who has finally recovered, meets Gaston in the second round in Sweden. The Russian has finally regained his form and is once again a dangerous player on the ATP tour and the win against Sonego proves it. This happened a long time ago, but Norway seems quite strong in this tournament and even though Khachanov is the most serious opponent now, he can still be confidently beaten. Karen himself had relatively weak opponents, but still dropped a set and overall the Russian doesn't seem very stable. So when Ruud catches a pretty good form, I think he has a chance to win.
