Kas stebi šį Houstono turnyrą turėtumėte sutikti, kad japonas šiuo metu demonstruoja puikią formą. Pakeliui į finalą įveikė gerą formą rodžiusius žaidėjus, t.y. Skugor, Andreev, Fish, o vakar ir Cuevas. Visi gavo po 2:0. Nematau prasmės nepabandyti šio varianto. Juolab H2H (head-2-head) japonas jau laimėjo 4 susitikimus prieš amerikoną. 2 kartus ant hardo (abu kart per 3 setus; 2007 ir 2010 metais) ir abu kart ant grunto 2010 metais (6-4, 6-0; 6-4; 6-2). Nors finalas kiek ir netikėtas, tačiau manau puikia formą įgavęs japonas netikėtumam finale nesileis.
