2-1 Basic wins in head to head matches, but Caruso won only match that was played on clay just like here. Caruso have only won tournaments on clay courts so here he is favourite in my eyes. Basic playing badly and keep decreasing, last year was very bad and he lost more matches then he won, this year seems little better but he only winning in quolification matches were he playing against really weak opponents, so here against strong clay player Caruso he has very small chances so here Italian should prevail
