A good server with a solid game from the backline, Italy's Sonego is a dangerous tennis player on fast courts, and playing on an indoor hard surface can expect better results from him. He did not perform well on the Asian tour, but now has a great chance to feel his game again. His opponent is quite young, but ranked only 221 in the ATP rankings, which speaks volumes about the skill of this player at the age of 23. The Brit had problems in the qualifiers, so now the Italian looks like a much better choice.
