"Magic" šį sezoną yra viena iš labiausiai stebinančių komandų. Puikiai pradėjo sezoną, tačiau nuo gruodžio vidurio krito į duobelę ir be paskutinių dviejų laimėtų rungtynių, per 11 rungtynių buvo laimėję vos tris kartus. Jeigu pažvelgtume į paskutines penkias rungtynes, trys iš jų pralaimėjimai -5 vs Suns, -6 Warriors ir po pratęsimo -3 prieš Kings. Paskutinės dvi laimėtos +2 prieš Nuggets ir po pratęsimo +7 prieš Hawks. Ši atkarpa grūdina jaunimą, ypač Paolo Banchero, kuris rungtynių pabaigose oversiai imasi ant savęs.
Šios nakties varžovas - vis dar pirmą vietą vakaruose užimanti "Timberwolves". Vilkai pralaimėjo tris iš paskutinių keturių rungtynių. Po kiek netikėto pralaimėjimo namuose prieš "Pelicans", kitose išvykoje net 27 sutriuškino Rockets. Paskutinėse po kovos iki paskutinių minučių nusileido "Mavericks", kuriose Doncic ir Irving kartu pelnė 35 ir 34 points.
Žaisti prieš "Magic" bus kur kas paprasčiau - čia daug jaunimo, jie stengiasi ir kovoja, bet ne visada viskas gaunasi. Būtina paminėti, kad vis dar nežais traumą besigydantis Franz Wagner. Nebus ir Wendell Carter Jr. Tam pačiam Banchero žaisti prieš "Timberwolves" neturėtų būti labai paranku.
