Middlesbrough is currently in 4th place with 79 points, meaning they cannot fall below the playoff spots, but they are 2 points behind 2nd place which would secure them automatic promotion to the Premier League next year. Wrexham is in 6th place and cannot move up, but they can be overtaken and knocked out of the playoffs by two teams. If they lose or draw, they can no longer advance. Both teams have to play for the win and this may lead to a lot of fouls and yellow cards.
