I will support all of the European teams in the quarter-finals, so maybe this is a result of personal liking rather than an objective opinion. However, the Czechs will be playing at home, in an arena that will surely be packed. The team will be missing their attacker J. Flek, but it is not a big loss as the Czech coach has a plethora of options in his arsenal. Especially now that players like Necas, Pastrnak, and Zacha have joined the team. It is commendable that the US finally brought a team full of NHL players rather than just college students. Their first line of attack, consisting of Nelson, Boldy, and Gaudreau, has been dominating in this tournament. However, overall, the two teams seem evenly matched and the Czechs have shown in their game against Canada that they shouldn't be underestimated. Therefore, the outcome of this game will depend on small details such as penalty minutes and goalkeepers. I hope that luck will be on the side of the Czech Republic.
