Hello.
It's the quarterfinals at Rolland Garros and in the evening match, Greek player Tsitsipas is facing Spanish player Alcaraz. I'm betting on sets over here.
Tsitsipas looks good on clay and if it weren't for his nerves, I would even risk betting on him with a plus handicap. His clay season started in Peru where he was defeated in the Monte Carlo final by Ruud, then he lost in the finals in Barcelona and Rome, and finally was knocked out in the quarterfinals at the French Open. Until now, he has not faced any major surprises, but in the match against Arnali, after losing the first set, it seemed like an upset was brewing and in the second set, after winning the tie-break, it looked like the Greek player had mentally defeated the Italian and went on to win the remaining sets. Tsitsipas said that Alcaraz mentioned he likes playing against him, so I am expecting an under from him this time. The head-to-head score is 5-0 in favor of Alcaraz, so I believe the Greek player will have plenty of motivation today.
Alcaraz came to the French Open with some minor injuries but seems to have found a good rhythm. He only dropped one set to De Jong, defeating all the others confidently. I was a bit surprised by Peru's confident win against Auger-Aliassime, but I never trust Canadian psychology too much. Now, Alcaraz faces a serious challenge - Tsitsipas. Yes, as I mentioned, he said he enjoys playing against the Greek player, but it won't be easy. The Spanish player is a clear favorite here, but I don't expect an easy win.
Considering everything, I believe there will be at least 4 sets, and it wouldn't be surprising if there were 5. The only thing that could be a downside for the Greek player is his nerves - if he loses the first set, his confidence might take a hit. However, I hope he will hold up well and at least take a set.
Good luck.
