A brief overview of the situation, as the competition starts in an hour. Although Columbus is currently in 6th place in the East, they have played 3 games under in the CL competition compared to other clubs, so their position in the league is not as bad as it may seem from the first glance. Columbus plays very likable football, they are not afraid to make mistakes in defense in order to succeed in their attack against Peru. They have won their last 4 league games, scoring at least 2 goals in each, and interestingly, all 4 games were played away. Inter Milan holds the first place in the East, but they have played over the limit in one game against many clubs, and even 4 overs against today's opponent, Columbus. After a strong start to the season, Inter seems to be relaxing a bit, as they have recently beaten Philadelphia 1-2, lost to Atlanta 1-3 and tied 3-3 with St. Louis City.
Now, onto the prediction - in great form, Columbus travels to Miami to play against a weakened Inter team missing 8 key players, including Messi and Suarez. In their game against Philadelphia, their starting defender Aviles and midfielder Ruiz received red cards, and their other key defender Freire has been recovering from an injury for the past 3 weeks. It's hard to imagine how Inter Miami will be able to resist the strong attacking options of Columbus, who have recently found an amazing form and are scoring plenty of goals.
