Hello.
Olympics. Basketball. Australia against Spain. We are moving with a small minus handicap with the Australians.
I had already written off the Australians earlier, but in the friendly matches they gave me hope again. Mills, no matter how many years, is a beast on the national team, and Giddey, after a poor season in Oklahoma City, I thought he would be sitting on the bench, but no devil - he is playing very well. We know that Australians always play tough, with a lot of contact, which can throw the Spaniards off balance a bit. In the friendly matches, they played well against the USA, and also defeated the national teams of Serbia, Puerto Rico, and France. The formula is really convincing.
The Spaniards, no matter how everyone always writes them off, no matter how generations change, they still have that winning mentality and it's always a bit scary to go up against them, but at some point, they have to be stopped. In the friendly matches, they easily beat Puerto Rico, but struggled against the Argentinian team. They also achieved victory against Peru. In the qualifiers for the Olympics, they didn't face much competition, but their group was not very challenging. Bown also does a good job pushing the Spaniards, but without him, the outlook is a bit more grim.
I believe that it will be a tough battle, but a 4-point handicap seems a bit low. Good luck.
