The Norwegian European champion and World vice-champion, one of the top contenders for the gold medal, unexpectedly lost to their neighboring Swedes in the first match. A second consecutive loss would greatly hinder the Norwegian team's plans. However, Denmark is a well-known opponent and not an easy one to defeat, as they were the third-place winner at the World Championships and the vice-champion of Europe. In the first match, Ghana easily defeated Slovenia and will not be an easy opponent for their competitors. Before the tournament, the two teams played two friendly matches and Norway won with scores of 26-24 and 35-24. The Norwegian team should be more focused and determined for these matches, making them my favorite for today.
