Kerr had already announced his starting lineup against Puerto Rico, where LeBron will also be playing, so there should not be any major savings unless there are some injuries. A similar tactic was used against Sudan, but Sudan seems to be more physical and defensive-minded compared to Puerto Rico, who rely heavily on their defensive play and 3-point shooting. Puerto Rico does not stand much chance against the US, which means that these games are just for fun for them. It's a great opportunity for the US to have some fun.
