Last season was one of the most successful for the home teams. The main core was maintained and a couple of decent level players were added. Good results were achieved in friendly matches, with wins against Bundesliga clubs. The guests were promoted from the third league and in friendly matches, they gathered against weaker opponents, but lost to Mainz with a score of 1-3. There have been many changes in the squad and it may take some time to reach optimal form and play.
