European Beach Volleyball Championship tournament in the Netherlands, women's division. One of the least successful duos this season, Italy's pair (Valentina, 21 and Marta, 33) whose spirits were down after the Olympics, but they were determined to improve their performance for this championship (in the previous tournament, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals). Their opponents from Finland also participated in the previous year's European Championship, reaching the round of 16. However, they mainly play in lower ranking tournaments, but have shown potential in the past. I'm choosing the higher ranked Italian duo.
