In the past season, Coric defeated Hijikata 6-2 7-6 in their only previous meeting, and now, exactly a year later, these players meet again. Coric, who is in great form, plays very well and confidently, so the Croatian is still my favorite. Hijikata is a consistent player who wins against weaker opponents, but when facing players of similar or better abilities, like Peru here, he does not shine.
