Pegula plays at home, and recently she has an equal head-to-head record with Swiatek, so there are chances for her to win here. However, in the past, when Pegula has gone through, for example, at the end of the last year's tournament, she lost to Rybakina and Sabalenka, Gauff, and Sakkari, and only narrowly to Swiatek. Swiatek is always successful on fast surfaces when facing tougher opponents. I believe that Pegula, of course, wants to do something noteworthy in front of her audience, rather than at the 2023 final tournament. She may not win the whole thing, but she should put up a good fight.
