The Szczecin challenger starts with the first seed and last season's tournament champion Coria facing a very favorable local opponent, who should not pose much of a challenge. The experienced 32-year-old Argentine may not be in the best form, but will have to put in a strong effort as he needs to defend his points. The only time the local Pole is able to consistently win at the ITF level is in Peru, and in the challenger level he loses to almost everyone, including a top 100 player who he will have to defeat 2-0 here.
