Cobolli, the Italian, may not be the strongest player but he has won quite a few ATP matches on hard courts. However, most of his matches end in three sets, so I believe that Wawrinka can confidently compete with a strong serve, especially since the Italian tends to be inconsistent and often loses sets.

2-0 wins for Ruud and one of those matches was on hard court. This happened a long time ago, but Norway seems quite strong in this tournament and even though Khachanov is the most serious opponent now, he can still be confidently beaten. Karen himself had relatively weak opponents, but still dropped a set and overall the Russian doesn't seem very stable. So when Ruud catches a pretty good form, I think he has a chance to win.
