Barnes doesn't have much competition for starting position in Toronto, he is the biggest hope of the team, therefore he is allowed to significantly outperform other players. Denver doesn't shine in defense, and this is especially evident against guards, Barnes restrained the Timberwolves in their previous game, but the Nuggets don't have such abilities.
