I like this move because the player gains the coach's trust and finds a spot on the court, which is shown in the recent matches. I won't take and compare statistics from the last match, because it's not the type of player who consistently chooses such numbers, but there's no doubt that this will add to his self-confidence. What I also like is that the player gives a lot of energy fighting on defense and especially for loose balls. Another plus is that Koumadge is missing in the rotation, or he might play as a reserve, but Alba is taking this situation seriously and we most likely won't see him on the court.
