Wolves started showing good game and after a tough season start, they finally climbed out of the bottom three by beating Southampton 2-0 and unexpectedly crushing Fulham 4-1 in an away game. The opponent Bournemouth, after defeating two title contenders Arsenal and City, themselves suffered a little by losing to Brentford and Brighton in consecutive games. Moreover, Bournemouth has only recorded 1 draw in the whole season as an away team, which was achieved in late August against the then underperforming Everton.
