Maccabi, although playing a visually beautiful game of basketball, can only fight for honor this season, while Zvezda unexpectedly ranks in the top half of the table and is currently playing a very good season. In their last 5 games, they have won 4 and lost only to Fener after a tough battle, while Maccabi has only won against the Kaunas club and pushed Real around a bit. A win against Peru would greatly help Zvezda in the race for a better position.
