About a week ago, Avenida was attacked by a virus, which caused 8 players and 5 staff members to experience vomiting, fever, and dizziness. They couldn't eat anything because it would immediately come out the other end. They tried to still participate in the Euroleague game, but Bourges refused and Avenida lost at home 51-62. All players played except for injured Dominguez. It has been 3 days since that game, so the condition is slowly improving, but maybe not enough to dominate Ferrol now. Gil and Delaere have some injuries, and it's uncertain if both will play or not.
Ferrol, of course, has its own problems. Millan hasn't been playing due to an injury for some time now. Two other players had stomach problems, but they managed to defeat Girona 72-70 in the last round, so at least the healthy players are in good form. The +15 handicap definitely seems achievable.
