This will be an extraordinary match. Last spring, the teams met in the Gagarin Cup final (i.e. competed for the champions title). The clear favorite, "Lokomotiv", failed to win any of the four games played. All matches were very tense and low-scoring.
This KHL season began with a clash between today's opponents (competed for the Season Opening Cup). It was clear that the Yaroslavl players put in all their effort to avenge their opponent who had become a deadly enemy. The revenge was successful - 3:2.
Considering what I have described and also the fact that "Loko" has a very strong defense and usually plays very pragmatically, we should not expect a high number of goals. And since the hosts have already won six consecutive home games, it is understandable how difficult it will be for the visitors to compete for points.
