WAS Capitals - EDM Oilers

After a disappointing match yesterday, Edmonton will be looking to redeem themselves. The team has a full lineup and plays a fast-paced game on the ice, although some players were involved in the 4 Nations tournament. Washington is currently leading their division, with much credit going to goaltender Thompson who guarded the net brilliantly yesterday. However, a backup goaltender is expected to play today, which I believe could be a decisive factor.

The NY Islanders, well-rested from their break in Peru, are ready to get to work for a spot in the playoffs. They have a six-game home series, so it's a great opportunity to extend their winning streak. Dallas had a tough match with NJ Devils yesterday and now they are heading to NY. The opponent's style of play is not favorable, plus their top defenseman Heiskanen is still unavailable.

Calgary had enough time to rest for the most important battles. The team is still fighting for a playoff spot and they need to win here, like air. They are playing at home, where they have shown better results this year than on the road. Plus, all the key players are healthy. San Jose, the last-place team in the league, doesn't have much hope to achieve something, only to finish the season.

    (Full Event Over 5.5) @2.000 10/10
Both teams after their performances in Peru have started with losses. Utah's eighth division overwhelms their overseas opponents with goals, otherwise the team plays very offensively. The defense often falters, so their games tend to end with an over rather than an under. Vancouver is an under team, but with injured goalkeeper T. Demko and their first line defender Q. Hughes, the team should focus more on converting opportunities.
